New Minimum Wage in Flagstaff

Flagstaff, you got a Raise!

In November 2016, 54 percent (14,913) of Flagstaff voters–about the same number that voted in the new Flagstaff Mayor– approved proposition 414, increasing the minimum wage to $15 per hour by 2021, eliminating the sub-minimum, tipped wage by 2026, and establishing a local enforcement for this new addition to the city code. The local citizen initiative became the law on November 28, 2016 via proclamation by the Mayor.

The following table outlines a schedule for the minimum wage worker raises incorporating the provisions of a successful state minimum wage initiative that passed the voter approval at the same time.
